It takes a certain mindset to willingly push your body beyond your known limits for pure personal achievement (plus raising money for charity in the process helps of course!).
This is the mindset that some of the Hehku team members embraced when they signed themselves up to two physically demanding events recently.
Jason our Hehku Cucina project manager completed his first triathlon (with a twist). Jason, a keen cyclist, decided to see how far he could push himself and entered the #SUPBIKERUN event, a 6k SUP (Stand up Paddleboard), 15k Mountain Bike ride, followed by a 10K run! A big round of applause to Jason who successfully completed the event in just over 4 hours 20 minutes.
Next up, accompanied by 9 team members of our parent company Alltask, Hehku Aluminium’s project manager Wayne and our digital marketing manager Scott took on the 11-mile Tough Mudder OCR event raising money for Help for Heroes along the way. 4 hours and 25 obstacles later they crossed the finish line bruised muddied and exhausted, but ultimately raising a fantastic £1600 for Help for Heroes. Well done all involved.
It’s this instinct we look for when recruiting team members. It’s a quality that’s in your DNA, you can’t turn it off, and it’s what strives you to do the best you can in every situation. Whether that be trying every single possibility to create the perfect design, or going that extra mile to make sure the project is finished to the highest level of craftsmanship.
It’s what we look for in team members, it’s what satisfies us personally, and most importantly, it’s what makes us Hehku.
